Our organised framework strictly follows the guidelines outlined in the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Training & Competence Sourcebook. Essentially, we execute a continuous training initiative that annually mandates a minimum of 35 hours of ongoing professional development.
Testing
As an integral component of this program, staff undergo monthly testing, which is thoughtfully designed to focus on regulatory, industry, and internal policies and procedures. This comprehensive approach contributes to the annual CPD requirements, ensuring that staff only need minimal additional hours outside of testing to fulfil their obligations. This results in our staff having more recreational hours whilst high-quality standards are maintained across all team members.
Training & tracking
Our commitment to staff development extends beyond testing. We offer access to webinars and showcases, providing the flexibility for staff to engage either from the comfort of their homes or in person with lenders. Daily emails are sent to staff, offering industry updates, including advanced information on products and criteria to keep our advisers current and ahead of the curve.
To streamline CPD tracking, staff utilise www.competentadviser.com, where they can record all CPD activities within their personal portal and generate live reports for continuous monitoring of their performance. Regular reviews with each adviser ensure prompt identification and resolution of any issues or knowledge gaps, resulting in a consistent premium service and advice quality.
